मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-86, verse-13

केषाञ्चित् पाटयामास नखैः कोष्ठानि केसरी ।
तथा तलप्रिहारेण शिरांसि कृतवान् पृथक् ॥१३॥
13. keṣāñcit pāṭayāmāsa nakhaiḥ koṣṭhāni kesarī .

13. The lion (kesarī) tore open the bellies of some (demons) with his claws. Likewise, he severed heads with a blow of his paw.
