महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-37, verse-16

द्वाविमौ पुरुषौ लोके क्षरश्चाक्षर एव च ।
क्षरः सर्वाणि भूतानि कूटस्थोऽक्षर उच्यते ॥१६॥
16. dvāvimau puruṣau loke kṣaraścākṣara eva ca ,
kṣaraḥ sarvāṇi bhūtāni kūṭastho'kṣara ucyate.

16. There are two kinds of cosmic persons (puruṣa) in this world: the perishable and the imperishable. The perishable refers to all beings, while the imperishable is called the unchanging one (kūṭastha).
