योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-70, verse-2

मृगतृष्णाजलमिव मनोऽहंतादि दृश्यते ।
असदेव मनागेव तद्विचारात्प्रलीयते ॥ २ ॥
mṛgatṛṣṇājalamiva mano'haṃtādi dṛśyate ,
asadeva manāgeva tadvicārātpralīyate 2
2. mṛgatṛṣṇājalam iva manaḥ ahaṃtā ādi dṛśyate
asat eva manāk eva tat vicārāt pralīyate

2. The mind, ego (ahaṃtā), and so on, appear like water in a mirage; they are indeed unreal, and merely by (self-)inquiry (vicāra), that (unreality) dissolves.
