वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-85, verse-19

पृच्छन्तं राघवं वाक्यमूचतुर्मुनिदारकौ ।
वाल्मीकिर्भगवान् कर्ता संप्राप्तो यज्ञसंनिधिम् ।
येनेदं चरितं तुभ्यमशेषं संप्रदर्शितम् ॥१९॥

vālmīkirbhagavān kartā saṃprāpto yajñasaṃnidhim ,
yenedaṃ caritaṃ tubhyamaśeṣaṃ saṃpradarśitam.

19. To Rama, who was thus questioning, the two sons of the (muni) sage replied with these words: 'The venerable Valmiki is the author. He has arrived at the site of the (Vedic ritual) (yajña), and it is by him that this entire narrative has been fully presented to you.'
