वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-8, verse-16

ततो ऽम्बरे महाञ् शब्दः साधु साध्विति चोत्थितः ।
आहत्य राक्षसो विष्णुं गरुडं चाप्यताडयत् ॥१६॥
16. tato'mbare mahāñ śabdaḥ sādhu sādhviti cotthitaḥ ,
āhatya rākṣaso viṣṇuṃ garuḍaṃ cāpyatāḍayat.
16. tataḥ ambare mahān śabdaḥ sādhu sādhu iti ca utthitaḥ
āhatya rākṣasaḥ viṣṇum garuḍam ca api atāḍayat
16. Then, a great cry of 'Excellent! Excellent!' arose in the sky. The demon (rākṣasa), having struck Viṣṇu, also struck Garuḍa.
