यद्यहं तस्य पृष्ठेन तदायासमनिन्दिता ।
नाद्यैवमनुशोचेयं भर्तुरङ्कगता सती ॥४५॥

45. hanūmato hi tadvākyaṃ na kṛtaṃ kṣudrayā mayā ,
yadyahaṃ tasya pṛṣṭhena tadāyāsamaninditā ,
nādyaivamanuśoceyaṃ bharturaṅkagatā satī.

Indeed, that counsel of Hanumān was not followed by me, the wretched one. If I, being blameless, had come then on his back, I would not be lamenting like this today, while being on my husband's lap.
