वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-80, verse-36

अद्यैनं ताव् उभौ दृष्ट्वा भ्रातरौ प्रव्यथिष्यतः ।
लोकपाला हि चत्वारः क्रुद्धेनानेन निर्जिताः ।
बहवः शत्रवश्चान्ये संयुगेष्वभिपातिताः ॥३६॥
36. adyainaṃ tāv ubhau dṛṣṭvā bhrātarau pravyathiṣyataḥ ,
lokapālā hi catvāraḥ kruddhenānena nirjitāḥ ,
bahavaḥ śatravaścānye saṃyugeṣvabhipātitāḥ.
36. adya enam tau ubhau dṛṣṭvā bhrātarau
pravyathiṣyataḥ lokapālāḥ hi catvāraḥ
kruddhena anena nirjitāḥ bahavaḥ
śatravaḥ ca anye saṃyugeṣu abhipātitāḥ

bahavaḥ śatravaḥ saṃyugeṣu abhipātitāḥ
36. Today, having seen him, those two brothers (Rama and Lakshmana) will be greatly distressed. Indeed, the four guardians of the worlds were conquered by this enraged one, and many other enemies were struck down in battles.
