वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-5, verse-7

तन्मे दहति गात्राणि विषं पीतमिवाशये ।
हा नाथेति प्रिया सा मां ह्रियमाणा यदब्रवीत् ॥७॥
7. tanme dahati gātrāṇi viṣaṃ pītamivāśaye ,
hā nātheti priyā sā māṃ hriyamāṇā yadabravīt.
7. tat me dahati gātrāṇi viṣam pītam iva āśaye hā
nātha iti priyā sā mām hriyamāṇā yat abravīt
7. That [separation] burns my body as if I had drunk poison within. Alas, when my beloved was being carried away, she cried out to me, 'O my lord!'
