वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-41, verse-17

निष्फलाः खलु संवृत्ताः शरा वासुकितेजसः ।
आदत्तं यैस्तु संग्रामे रिपूणां मम जीवितम् ॥१७॥
17. niṣphalāḥ khalu saṃvṛttāḥ śarā vāsukitejasaḥ ,
ādattaṃ yaistu saṃgrāme ripūṇāṃ mama jīvitam.
