वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-115, verse-27

रथकुञ्जरवाजिभ्यस्ते ऽवतीर्य महीं गताः ।
ददृशुस्तं विमानस्थं नराः सोममिवाम्बरे ॥२७॥
27. rathakuñjaravājibhyaste'vatīrya mahīṃ gatāḥ ,
dadṛśustaṃ vimānasthaṃ narāḥ somamivāmbare.
27. ratha-kuñjara-vājibhyaḥ te avatīrya mahīm gatāḥ
dadṛśuḥ tam vimānastham narāḥ somam iva ambare
27. te rathakuñjaravājibhyaḥ avatīrya mahīm gatāḥ.
narāḥ ambare somam iva tam vimānastham dadṛśuḥ.
27. Having descended from their chariots, elephants, and horses, they (the people) came to the ground. There, the people saw him (Rāma) seated in the aerial vehicle (vimāna), just as one would see the moon in the sky.
