वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-7, verse-3

सत्यं तु प्रतिजानामि त्यज शोकमरिंदम ।
करिष्यामि तथा यत्नं यथा प्राप्स्यसि मैथिलीम् ॥३॥
3. satyaṃ tu pratijānāmi tyaja śokamariṃdama ,
kariṣyāmi tathā yatnaṃ yathā prāpsyasi maithilīm.

kariṣyāmi tathā yatnam yathā prāpsyasi maithilīm
3. arimdam tu satyam pratijānāmi śokam tyaja.
tathā yatnam kariṣyāmi yathā maithilīm prāpsyasi
3. But I truly pledge, O vanquisher of foes (arimdam)! Abandon your sorrow. I will make such an effort that you will certainly regain Maithilī.
