वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-64, verse-16

पुत्रो विश्रवसः साक्षाद्भ्राता वैश्रवणस्य च ।
इत्युक्त्वा दुर्लभान्प्राणान्मुमोच पतगेश्वरः ॥१६॥
16. putro viśravasaḥ sākṣādbhrātā vaiśravaṇasya ca ,
ityuktvā durlabhānprāṇānmumoca patageśvaraḥ.

iti uktvā durlabhān prāṇān mumoca patageśvaraḥ
16. patageśvaraḥ sākṣāt viśravasaḥ putraḥ ca
vaiśravaṇasya bhrātā iti uktvā durlabhān prāṇān mumoca
16. "He is directly the son of Viśravas and the brother of Vaiśravaṇa." Having spoken thus, the lord of birds (Jaṭāyu) released his life breaths, which are difficult to attain.
