वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-43, verse-6

यस्त्वमस्यामवस्थायां भ्रातरं नाभिपद्यसे ।
इच्छसि त्वं विनश्यन्तं रामं लक्ष्मण मत्कृते ॥६॥
6. yastvamasyāmavasthāyāṃ bhrātaraṃ nābhipadyase ,
icchasi tvaṃ vinaśyantaṃ rāmaṃ lakṣmaṇa matkṛte.
6. yah tvam asyām avasthāyām bhrātaram na abhipadyase
icchasi tvam vinaśyantam rāmam lakṣmaṇa matkr̥te
6. Lakṣmaṇa,
yah tvam asyām avasthāyām bhrātaram na abhipadyase.

6. O Lakṣmaṇa, you who do not go to your brother in this condition! You desire Rāma to perish for my sake.
