14. sa tvayoktaḥ patirdevi yadeccheyaṃ tadā varau ,
gṛhṇīyāmiti tattena tathetyuktaṃ mahātmanā ,
anabhijñā hyahaṃ devi tvayaiva kathitaṃ purā.

14.
O queen, you (Kaikeyi) told that husband (Dasaratha), 'When I desire, I shall accept two boons.' That was then affirmed with 'So be it' by that great soul (Dasaratha). Indeed, O queen, I (Manthara) was unaware (of the significance); it was you yourself who explained it to me earlier.
