वाल्मीकि-रामायणम् vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-8, verse-21

तस्मान्न लक्ष्मणे रामः पापं किं चित् करिष्यति ।
रामस्तु भरते पापं कुर्यादिति न संशयः ॥२१॥

21. tasmānna lakṣmaṇe rāmaḥ pāpaṃ kiṃ cit kariṣyati ,
rāmastu bharate pāpaṃ kuryāditi na saṃśayaḥ.

21. Therefore, Rama will not commit any wrong against Lakshmana. However, there is no doubt that Rama might commit a wrong (pāpa) against Bharata.
