वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-14, verse-22

छत्रचामरपाणिस्तु लक्ष्मणो राघवानुजः ।
जुगोप भ्रातरं भ्राता रथमास्थाय पृष्ठतः ॥२२॥
22. chatracāmarapāṇistu lakṣmaṇo rāghavānujaḥ ,
jugopa bhrātaraṃ bhrātā rathamāsthāya pṛṣṭhataḥ.
22. chatracāmarapāṇiḥ tu lakṣmaṇaḥ rāghavānujaḥ
jugopa bhrātaram bhrātā ratham āsthāya pṛṣṭataḥ
22. tu lakṣmaṇaḥ rāghavānujaḥ chatracāmarapāṇiḥ
pṛṣṭataḥ ratham āsthāya bhrātā bhrātaram jugopa
22. But Lakṣmaṇa, Rama's younger brother, with an umbrella and a fly-whisk in hand, protected his brother, having mounted the chariot from the rear.
