महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-65, verse-43

गवां सहस्रदः प्रेत्य नरकं न प्रपश्यति ।
सर्वत्र विजयं चापि लभते मनुजाधिप ॥४३॥
43. gavāṁ sahasradaḥ pretya narakaṁ na prapaśyati ,
sarvatra vijayaṁ cāpi labhate manujādhipa.
