महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-3, verse-16

बहुजन्मार्जितैः पुण्यैः सद्गुरुर्यदि लभ्यते ।
तदा तद्वक्त्रतो ज्ञात्वा जन्मसाफल्यमाप्नुयात् ॥१६॥
16. bahujanmārjitaiḥ puṇyaiḥ sadgururyadi labhyate ,
tadā tadvaktrato jñātvā janmasāphalyamāpnuyāt.

tadā tatvaktrataḥ jñātvā janmasāphalyam āpnuyāt
16. yadi bahujanmārjitaiḥ puṇyaiḥ sat-guruḥ labhyate
tadā tat-vaktrataḥ jñātvā janma-sāphalyam āpnuyāt
16. If a true guru is obtained through the merits accumulated over many births, then, having learned from his mouth, one should attain the fulfillment of life.
