महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-3, verse-116

अभुक्तो वाऽपि भुक्तो वा स्नातो वाऽस्नात एव वा ।
साधयेत् परमं मन्त्रं स्वेच्चाचारेण साधकः ॥११६॥
116. abhukto vā'pi bhukto vā snāto vā'snāta eva vā ,
sādhayet paramaṁ mantraṁ sveccācāreṇa sādhakaḥ.
116. abhuktaḥ vā api bhuktaḥ vā snātaḥ vā asnātaḥ eva
vā sādhayet paramaṃ mantram svecchācāreṇa sādhakaḥ
116. sādhakaḥ abhuktaḥ vā api bhuktaḥ vā,
snātaḥ vā asnātaḥ eva vā paramaṃ mantram sādhayet svecchācāreṇa
116. Whether fasting or having eaten, whether bathed or unbathed, the practitioner should accomplish the supreme mantra according to his own free will and conduct.
