महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-2, verse-50

यथा गच्चन्ति सरितोऽवशेनापि सरित्पतिम् ।
तथार्चादीनि कर्माणि तदुद्देश्यानि पार्वति ॥५०॥
50. yathā gaccanti sarito'vaśenāpi saritpatim ,
tathārcādīni karmāṇi taduddeśyāni pārvati.
50. yathā gacchantī saritaḥ avaśena api saritpatim
tathā arcādīni karmāṇi tatuddeśyāni pārvati
50. pārvati yathā saritaḥ avaśena api saritpatim gacchanti
tathā arcādīni karmāṇi tatuddeśyāni (bhavanti)
50. O Pārvatī, just as rivers flow helplessly toward the ocean, so too are all actions of worship and the like directed toward Him.
