महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-1, verse-47

दास्यन्ति धनलोभेन स्वदारान्नीचजातिषु ।
ब्राह्मण्यचिह्नमेतावत् केवलं सूत्रधारणम् ॥४७॥
47. dāsyanti dhanalobhena svadārānnīcajātiṣu ,
brāhmaṇyacihnametāvat kevalaṁ sūtradhāraṇam.

brāhmaṇya-cihnam etāvat kevalaṃ sūtra-dhāraṇam

47. Driven by greed for wealth, they will give their own wives to men of low social classes, and the sole mark of their brahminhood will be the mere wearing of the sacred thread.
