शनैः पृच्चन्ति पार्श्वस्थान् विस्मृत्यात्मविवक्षितम् ।
निधाय वदने पात्रं निवीण्णा निवसन्ति च ॥६६॥

66. śanaiḥ pṛccanti pārśvasthān vismṛtyātmavivakṣitam ,
nidhāya vadane pātraṁ nivīṇṇā nivasanti ca.

(te) ātmavivakṣitam vismṛtya,
pārśvasthān śanaiḥ pṛcchanti,
vadane pātram nidhāya niviṇṇāḥ nivasanti ca.

66. Having forgotten what they wanted to say, they slowly ask those sitting beside them, and placing the cup to their mouths, they remain seated, absorbed.
