विहाय कुलधर्म यः परधर्मपरो भवेत् ।
करस्थं रत्नमुत्सृज्य दूरस्थं काचमीहते ॥४३॥

43. vihāya kuladharma yaḥ paradharmaparo bhavet ,
karasthaṁ ratnamutsṛjya dūrasthaṁ kācamīhate.

43. Whoever abandons the path of the kula and becomes devoted to another's path throws away a precious jewel in his own hand and longs for distant glass.
