वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-85, verse-23

तथैव च महाखड्गं चर्मणा पतितं सह ।
जग्राह वानरश्रेष्ठः सुग्रीवो वेगवत्तरः ॥२३॥
23. tathaiva ca mahākhaḍgaṃ carmaṇā patitaṃ saha ,
jagrāha vānaraśreṣṭhaḥ sugrīvo vegavattaraḥ.

23. And similarly, the chief of monkeys, Sugriva, who was even swifter, seized the great sword that had fallen along with the shield.
