वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-2, chapter-8, verse-27

यदा हि रामः पृथिवीमवाप्स्यति ध्रुवं प्रनष्टो भरतो भविष्यति ।
अतो हि संचिन्तय राज्यमात्मजे परस्य चाद्यैव विवासकारणम् ॥२७॥
27. yadā hi rāmaḥ pṛthivīmavāpsyati dhruvaṃ pranaṣṭo bharato bhaviṣyati ,
ato hi saṃcintaya rājyamātmaje parasya cādyaiva vivāsakāraṇam.
27. yadā hi rāmaḥ pṛthivīm avāpsyati
dhruvam pranaṣṭaḥ bharataḥ bhaviṣyati
ataḥ hi saṃcintaya rājyam ātmaje
parasya ca adya eva vivāsakāraṇam
27. yadā hi rāmaḥ pṛthivīm avāpsyati,
(tadā) bharataḥ dhruvam pranaṣṭaḥ bhaviṣyati.

27. When Rāma indeed obtains the kingdom, Bharata will certainly be ruined. Therefore, think carefully about securing the kingdom for your son and the immediate cause for the exile of the other (Rāma).
