वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-37, verse-17

सुमतिस्तु नरव्याघ्र गर्भतुम्बं व्यजायत ।
षष्टिः पुत्रसहस्राणि तुम्बभेदाद्विनिःसृताः ॥१७॥
17. sumatistu naravyāghra garbhatumbaṃ vyajāyata ,
ṣaṣṭiḥ putrasahasrāṇi tumbabhedādviniḥsṛtāḥ.

17. But Sumati, O tiger among men, gave birth to a gourd-like mass of flesh. From the breaking of that mass, sixty thousand sons emerged.
