वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-37, verse-10

एकः कस्याः सुतो ब्रह्मन् का बहूञ्जनयिष्यति ।
श्रोतुमिच्छावहे ब्रह्मन् सत्यमस्तु वचस्तव ॥१०॥
10. ekaḥ kasyāḥ suto brahman kā bahūñjanayiṣyati ,
śrotumicchāvahe brahman satyamastu vacastava.
10. ekaḥ kasyāḥ sutaḥ brahman kā bahūn janayiṣyati
śrotum icchāvahe brahman satyam astu vacaḥ tava
10. O Brahmin, who will be the mother of the one son? And who will give birth to many? We both desire to hear, O Brahmin; let your words be true.
