वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-21, verse-18

ततो रामो जलं स्पृष्ट्वा प्रहृष्टवदनः शुचिः ।
प्रतिजग्राह ते विद्ये महर्षेर्भावितात्मनः ।
विद्यासमुदितो रामः शुशुभे भूरिविक्रमः ॥१८॥
18. tato rāmo jalaṃ spṛṣṭvā prahṛṣṭavadanaḥ śuciḥ ,
pratijagrāha te vidye maharṣerbhāvitātmanaḥ ,
vidyāsamudito rāmaḥ śuśubhe bhūrivikramaḥ.

śuciḥ pratijagrāha te vidye
maharṣeḥ bhāvitātmanaḥ vidyāsamuditaḥ

te vidye pratijagrāha rāmaḥ
vidyāsamuditaḥ bhūrivikramaḥ śuśubhe
18. Then, Rama, having touched water, with a joyful face and being pure, received those two sciences (vidyā) from the great sage (maharṣi) whose inner self (ātman) was purified. Rama, endowed with these sciences (vidyā), shone with great valor.
