इत्यावाह्य मातृगणान् स्वशक्त्या परिपूज्य च ।
देहल्यां नाभिमात्रायां प्रादेशपरिमाणतः ।
सप्त वा पञ्च वा बिन्दून् दद्यात् सिन्दूरचन्दनैः ॥९१॥

91. ityāvāhya mātṛgaṇān svaśaktyā paripūjya ca ,
dehalyāṁ nābhimātrāyāṁ prādeśaparimāṇataḥ ,
sapta vā pañca vā bindūn dadyāt sindūracandanaiḥ.

91. Having thus invoked the groups of mothers and worshipped them according to his capacity, he should place seven or five dots of vermilion and sandal paste on the threshold at navel height, measuring a span.
