महानिर्वाण-तन्त्रम्       mahānirvāṇa-tantram - chapter-9, verse-147

स्नापयित्वा शिशुं माता परिधाप्याम्बरे शुभे ।
भर्तुः पार्श्वं समागत्य प्राङ्मुखं स्थापयेत् सुतम् ॥१४७॥
147. snāpayitvā śiśuṁ mātā paridhāpyāmbare śubhe ,
bhartuḥ pārśvaṁ samāgatya prāṅmukhaṁ sthāpayet sutam.

147. Having bathed the infant and dressed him in auspicious garments, the mother should approach the side of her husband and place the son facing eastward.
