न कदाचिन्मया प्रोक्तमितः पूर्व कुलेश्वरि ।
कथयामि तव स्नेहादूर्ध्वाम्नायं शृणु प्रिये ॥३॥

3. na kadācinmayā proktamitaḥ pūrva kuleśvari ,
kathayāmi tava snehādūrdhvāmnāyaṁ śṛṇu priye.

3. Never before, O queen of the kula, was this spoken by me. Out of love for you I am telling it now - listen, O beloved, to the urdhvamnaya (the upward tradition).
