कुलार्णव-तन्त्रम्       kulārṇava-tantram - chapter-13, verse-37

जपध्यानादिनिरतं मोक्षमार्गाभिकाङ्क्षिणम् ।
कुलशास्त्रप्रियं देवि पशुशास्त्रपराङ्मुखम् ।
इत्यादिलक्षणोपेतं गुरुः शिष्यं परिग्रहेत् ॥३७॥
37. japadhyānādinirataṁ mokṣamārgābhikāṅkṣiṇam ,
kulaśāstrapriyaṁ devi paśuśāstraparāṅmukham ,
ityādilakṣaṇopetaṁ guruḥ śiṣyaṁ parigrahet.

37. O Goddess, (the disciple should be) engaged in mantra recitation, meditation, and other practices; desirous of the path to liberation; fond of the kula scriptures; and averse to the Paśu scriptures. A guru should accept such a disciple endowed with these and other characteristics.
