(sacchṣiṣyam) gurusannidhau jātimānadhane garvavarjitam,
gurudravye nirapekṣam,
tatprasādābhikāṅkṣiṇam (syāt).

35. (The disciple should be) in the presence of the guru, free from pride in (their) birth, honor, and wealth, indifferent to the guru's possessions, and desirous of the guru's grace.
