प्रेरकः सूचकश्चैव वाचको दर्शकस्तथा ।
शिक्षको बोधकश्चैव षडेते गुरुवः स्मृताः ॥१२८॥

128. The instigator, the indicator, the explainer, the revealer, as well as the instructor and the awakener - these six are traditionally considered to be gurus.
