कुलार्णव-तन्त्रम्       kulārṇava-tantram - chapter-12, verse-96

स्वकार्यमन्यकार्यं वा शिष्यः स्वगुरुचित्तवित् ।
गुरुपार्श्वगतो नम्रः प्रसन्नवदनो भवेत् ॥९६॥
96. svakāryamanyakāryaṁ vā śiṣyaḥ svagurucittavit ,
gurupārśvagato namraḥ prasannavadano bhavet.
96. sva-kāryam anya-kāryam vā śiṣyaḥ sva-guru-citta-vit
guru-pārśva-gataḥ namraḥ prasanna-vadanaḥ bhavet
96. śiṣyaḥ sva-guru-citta-vit sva-kāryam anya-kāryam
vā gurupārśvagataḥ namraḥ prasanna-vadanaḥ bhavet
96. O dear one, knowing the mind of his own guru, a student should attend to his own or another's task, and remaining near the guru, he should be humble and have a cheerful face.
