अस्नात्वाऽनासनस्थो वा भुक्त्वा वा प्रलपन्नपि ।
गन्धपुष्पाक्षता कल्पवस्त्राद्यैरनलंकृतः ।
अविन्यस्तशरीरो वा कुलपूजां न चाचरेत् ॥९॥

9. asnātvā'nāsanastho vā bhuktvā vā pralapannapi ,

avinyastaśarīro vā kulapūjāṁ na cācaret.

9. Without having bathed, or not being seated on a proper seat, or having eaten, or even while chattering, unadorned with sandalwood paste, flowers, unbroken grains, ornaments, clothes and the like, or with his body not properly prepared through ritual alignment - one should never perform the lineage worship (kulapūjā).
