कुलार्णव-तन्त्रम्       kulārṇava-tantram - chapter-1, verse-80

मृद्भस्मम्रक्षणाद् देवि मुक्ताः स्युर्यदि मानवाः ।
मृद्भस्मवासिनो ग्राम्याः किं ते मुक्ता भवन्ति हि ॥८०॥
80. mṛdbhasmamrakṣaṇād devi muktāḥ syuryadi mānavāḥ ,
mṛdbhasmavāsino grāmyāḥ kiṁ te muktā bhavanti hi.
80. mṛdbhasmamrakṣaṇāt devi muktāḥ syuḥ yadi mānavāḥ
mṛdbhasmavāsinaḥ grāmyāḥ kim te muktāḥ bhavanti hi
80. devi yadi mṛdbhasmamrakṣaṇāt mānavāḥ muktāḥ syuḥ
mṛdbhasmavāsinaḥ grāmyāḥ te muktāḥ bhavanti kim hi
80. O goddess, if human beings could be liberated simply by smearing themselves with mud and ashes, would not the country folk living in mud and ashes also be liberated?
