पवित्रारोपणं वक्ष्ये साधकानां हिताय च ।
वर्षमात्रकृता पूजा सफला भवति ध्रुवम् ॥१॥

1. pavitrāropaṇaṁ vakṣye sādhakānāṁ hitāya ca ,
varṣamātrakṛtā pūjā saphalā bhavati dhruvam.

1. (And) for the welfare of practitioners, I will describe the ceremony of offering the sacred thread (pavitrāropaṇa). A worship performed for just a year certainly becomes fruitful.
