ज्ञानार्णव-तन्त्रम्       jñānārṇava-tantram - chapter-24, verse-25

गुणत्रयं तु कथितं जाग्रत्सत्त्वगुणा प्रिये ।
तमोगुणा सुषुप्तिस्तु शिवे निश्चलरूपिणी ॥२५॥
25. guṇatrayaṁ tu kathitaṁ jāgratsattvaguṇā priye ,
tamoguṇā suṣuptistu śive niścalarūpiṇī.

25. tu guṇatrayaṃ kathitaṃ,
priye! jāgral-sattvaguṇā,

śive niścalarūpiṇī tu (kathitā).
25. O beloved, the three guṇas have been described thus: the waking state is associated with sattva-guṇa, deep sleep is associated with tamo-guṇa, and Śiva is of the nature of stillness.
