वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-85, verse-18

तं समुद्यम्य चिक्षेप सो ऽप्यन्यां व्याक्षिपद्गदाम् ।
भिन्नावन्योन्यमासाद्य पेततुर्धरणीतले ॥१८॥
18. taṃ samudyamya cikṣepa so'pyanyāṃ vyākṣipadgadām ,
bhinnāvanyonyamāsādya petaturdharaṇītale.
18. tam samudyamya cikṣepa saḥ api anyām vyākṣipat
gadām bhinnau anyonyam āsādya petatuḥ dharaṇītale
18. saḥ tam samudyamya cikṣepa,
api ca anyaḥ anyām gadām vyākṣipat anyonyam āsādya bhinnau petatuḥ dharaṇītale
18. He, having lifted that (mace), hurled it, and the other also threw another mace. Having struck each other, the two maces broke and fell to the ground.
