caturdaśyaṣṭamī śuklā tathaivaikādaśī kuhūḥ.

ambike māsavatsarapakṣāṇām ārambhadinam śuklā

96. O mother, the starting day of months, years, and fortnights is indeed the bright fourteenth and eighth lunar days, as well as the eleventh and the new moon.
