ज्ञानार्णव-तन्त्रम्       jñānārṇava-tantram - chapter-24, verse-88

शुक्लपक्षे शुभदिने शुभवारे वरानने ।
मन्त्राद्यारम्भणं कुर्याद्ग्रहणे चन्द्रसूर्ययोः ॥८८॥
88. śuklapakṣe śubhadine śubhavāre varānane ,
mantrādyārambhaṇaṁ kuryādgrahaṇe candrasūryayoḥ.

mantra-ādi-ārambhaṇaṃ kuryāt grahaṇe candra-sūryayoḥ
88. varānane śukla-pakṣe śubha-dine śubha-vāre

88. O beautiful-faced one, one should begin the recitation of mantras and other practices during the bright fortnight, on an auspicious day, during an auspicious weekday, or during an eclipse of the sun and the moon.
