About this website

The purpose of this website is to help in promoting the learning of the Sanskrit language.

At present the site offers mainly a few learning and teaching tools and a scriptures library that is getting bigger and more useful every day.

Our main focus nowadays is on English translation with word meanings and morphology – for all the scriptures in the library.

The Yoga Vasishtha, Markandeya Purana, and Parashar Hora Shastra are complete – translated with word meanings and morphology. The Mahabharata is almost complete and we have just started on the Valmiki Ramayana.

We are also planning to add more scriptures like Ashtanga Hrdayam, Gyanarnava Tantra, Bhairava Tantra and others.

At the same time we are working on some major improvements to our experimental Sanskrit Text To Speech feature – if successful it will be a very useful tool for all those who love to read, learn or teach Sanskrit.
